Description
Known as elk in Europe, moose are the largest of all the deer family. These large animals have elaborate forking antlers and long dark brown hair. They live in northern forests where alder, aspen, and willows abound. Moose are particularly well adapted to cold weather and prefer to live where summer temperatures dont get any hotter than sixty degrees. They eat newly grown leaves, as well as the tips of twigs. Their twelve sets of broad teeth at the rear of the mouth, six pairs of molars and six pairs of premolars, help them grind up even the toughest woody plants. Their rutting (or breeding) season lasts from early September to late October. Each year during the rut they lose their antlers; they then re-grow another set during the winter that follows. Most of the year, moose stay away from people, but during rutting season theyve been known to charge people, cars, and even houses!

All Schleich figures are lovingly hand-painted with detailed modelling and allow children to learn as they play. Allosaurus was one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs. It lived approximately 150 million years ago and used to hunt down herbivorous dinosaurs like Stegosaurus and Diplodocus. Its arms were similar to those of Tyrannosaurus rex: powerful, but extremely short.
Fun Fact
Allosaurus' saw-like, serrated teeth could reach ten centimetres in length.

Apalu lives with his friends in the forests of the rainbow island. He spends most of his time high up in the trees, where he plays, eats and sleeps. Sometimes he climbs down and runs into the village of the rainbow elves. There he is the source of much excitement, because all the elves think he is so cute and feed and stroke him. Apalu enjoys this a lot, but at the latest in the evening he returns to his friends in the forest.
Description
Asian elephants look similar to African elephants, but with shorter tusks and smaller ears. These elephants never stay more than a few days in one place and have different habitants which are, however, always near thicket forests. Asian elephants live in family groups made up of two to ten elephants. Like with African elephants, the groups are led by an alpha female who makes sure that all members of the herd follow the groups rules. Experts think that elephants, thanks to their large brains, can empathize with other herd members and are able to retain information with ease such as the difference between individuals, memories of a drought or the location of good feeding grounds.
The Asian Elephant Male measures approximately 4.5 inches.
Part of the Wild Life Series by Schleich. The art work and detail are beautiful on this hand painted figure.
Approximately 1:20 scale.
Made of durable synthetic material. Hand Painted.
Description
Rabbits are born with no fur. Their beautiful, warm fur does not grow until they are in their burrow. The wool of a rabbit is five times warmer than that of a lamb.
The rabbit, a popular pet - particularly at Easter - can be classified in almost fifty breeds. Rabbits are herbivores and these little furry animals need fresh water regularly. Rabbits can survive low temperatures and can therefore be kept indoors or outside. They have a life expectancy of about ten years. Rabbits are sociable, somewhat jumpy animals that often gnaw through fencing and other objects in their cages. They are adaptive, playful and after some practice, react to their name.
The barrels for “barrel racing” are always arranged in a triangle. It is also known as a cloverleaf pattern, because it resembles the shape of a clover. Competitors gallop up to the barrels and ride round them as fast as possible. The horses need to be very agile in order to be able to manage the tight turns while going very fast. If a competitor knocks over one of the barrels, they lose the race. The event was primarily invented for cowgirls, and to this day it is almost exclusively women who enter.
