Biante 1/18 Holden ZB Commodore - BJR - Smith/Evans - SCT #4 - 2022 Bathurst 1000 Diecast Car

The racing Gods must have been crying for the last Bathurst battle between Holden and Ford as the heavy rain bought a slippery track and aggressive driving early on caused pure carnage! The chaotic day was interrupted by rain delays and eight safety car periods but made for a nail-biting conclusion.

Heavy rain on Saturday led to the Top 10 Shootout to be cancelled, so grid positions were achieved from Friday’s qualifying times. Although the SCT Commodore stayed out of trouble for practice and qualifying, the luck ran out just seconds into the race, as Evans spun-off after the wet-track mayhem at Turn 1! With the front end held back together, Smith was able to work through traffic and numerous safety cars to be running 13^th until the bad luck hit again on Lap 138 when Smith crashed - joining the extensive DNF list of a very tough Bathurst.
