Celebrating the 60^th anniversary of one of the greatest motorcycle chases ever created in film, our Great Escape Triumph TR6 Trophy is an almost exact replica of that famous bike. The actual motorcycle now sits in the Triumph Motorcycles Factory Visitor Experience in Hinckley, but our 1:12 scale die-cast representation is a must-have for fans of the epic war film.

The tense scene is one of the most iconic in Hollywood, shot 60 years ago and continuing to delight film fans to this day. The Triumph itself was sold to a farmer, who used it to herd cattle before abandoning it in a barn.

In the Great Escape, after escaping the maximum-security unit at Stalag Luft III, prisoner of war Captain Virgil Hilts steals a German army motorcycle and makes his bid for freedom. The modified Triumph Trophy TR6 races to the Swiss border with German soldiers in pursuit. After it effortlessly clears one barbed wire fence, soldiers shoot down the motorcycle and capture Hilts again.

Corgi has reproduced this Icon with new tooling in 1:12 scale die-cast Triumph TR6 Trophy features brand-new tooling for this special model. It is much lighter than previous Corgi motorcycles and shows more of its internal structure. Collectors will adore the impressive wiring and piping detail.

The bike used in the film didn’t have a kickstand, so our scale replica doesn’t either. Instead, it sits atop an ammunition box, adding a nice touch to this weathered war-time design.
