Description

Adolf Galland, who was the general manager of the Luftwaffe fighter squadrons during World War II, was forced out of the position due to disagreements with Hermann Goering; due to requests from pilots, he created a jet fighter combat unit, the JV44, to operate the Me262. The Me262 is extremely vulnerable during takeoff and landing, so NV44's fighter corps provided support during those times; the squadron also used the Fw190D. For low-altitude air defense, the underside was painted red with white stripes to prevent accidental firing of friendly anti-aircraft guns. Galland fulfilled his mission until the end of the war. The engine of the D-11 was changed to a Jumo 213E, and the armament mounted to the nose was removed; the inner main wing was equipped with 20mm MG151 and the outer wing carried a 30mm MK108.

Model comes unpainted and unassembled
