After 5 years of flirting with the idea, on Monday May 2nd, 2022, Qantas finally locked in an order for the Airbus A350-1000 to operate the “Project Sunrise” flights from the east coast of Australia to London and New York, non-stop. To celebrate the order, Airbus flew across one of their demonstrator aircraft, F-WMIL, and decked it out with Qantas decals for some marketing fun.

Recognised as the airline industry’s large widebody aircraft of reference, the A350-1000 comfortably accommodates from 350 to 410 passengers in a standard three-class configuration, with 40% more area for premium-category seating.

While the A350 won’t enter service with Qantas until 2025, you can secure your model of the demonstrator aircraft now!

This model aircraft is made from die-cast metal and includes extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Gemini Jets, Phoenix Models, JC Wings and Aviation200.
