The Fiat 131 Abarth was built on the basis of the two-door Fiat sedan. The Fiat 131 Abarth used a front longitudinal 4-cylinder engine in line with the light alloy head and 4 valves per cylinder. Built starting in 1976, it was used in the World Rally Championship where it won three world constructors, an FIA Pilot Cup and a world championship driver. He took part in international competitions until 1982 when he was replaced by the cars of the Lancia brand.
