Description
The exclusive works buggy that has demonstrated its world-class capabilities is finally released!
In 1987, Kyosho Altima achieved the feat of dominating the podium in the 2WD class of the EP (electric) off-road car world championships held in the UK. This limited edition model was released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Kyosho America's founding, and is based on the car used by the Kyosho works team in that race, and was designed by Akira Kogawa, who also competed in the world championships as a driver. It is covered in gunmetallic anodized parts, which are symbolic of the works specifications of the time, and is equipped with special carbon parts. Combined with a large number of option parts, including new designs created with a focus on driving, it enhances the special feeling. The body is designed as low and sharp as possible for the Optima Pro. The Ultima '87 World Championship Spec, which is revived 37 years after its great performance in the world championships, not only allows you to relive the world's most cutting-edge driving of the time, but also allows you to enjoy a high-level drive by combining it with the latest mechanisms.

A rear-motor 2WD buggy with excellent running stability. The high-strength aluminum monocoque chassis is finished in a limited edition gunmetal anodized color and is combined with a newly designed hybrid carbon upper plate.
At the time, a Tomahawk body was used in the world championships, but since it could not be installed due to interference with current LiPo straight pack batteries, this product uses the Optima Pro body, which was popular at the time. It comes with a cut line decal to fit the Optima chassis and a special decal with the Kyosho America 20th anniversary logo.
Large-capacity dial-adjustable oil shocks feature titanium-coated shafts that provide both smooth movement and high durability. The caps and cases are finished in gunmetal, a hallmark of Kyosho works models.
The shock (damper) stays, which reliably absorb shocks from the road surface, are made of carbon fiber, which was previously an option on the standard Altima. The high rigidity ensures that the suspension performs to its full potential.
The upper plate is made of a newly designed hybrid carbon fiber. Not only is it lightweight and highly rigid, but unlike the standard type for the Altima, it can also accommodate a short-type LiPo battery in addition to a general-purpose battery.
The aluminum motor guard that protects the motor in the event of a crash is a special gunmetal finish, and is engraved with the Kyosho America 20th anniversary logo.
The gear shaft and slipper plate made from 7075 extra super duralumin were newly manufactured for this model. They are effective in reducing the weight of the vehicle body as well as the drivetrain, and when combined with the newly designed high-precision HD final pinion gear, they improve acceleration and deceleration performance.
A ball-type differential unit that enables smooth cornering and powerful acceleration even on off-road surfaces with low grip. This too is equipped as standard with the conventional optional parts.
The universal swing shaft reliably transmits motor power to the rear tire. Not only does it increase drive efficiency, it also eliminates the risk of it falling off when landing from a jump.
The rear wing is made of nylon resin, which is moderately flexible and resistant to crashes. The large side plates that increase the wing's downforce are the same parts as the previously sold JJ Ultima.
The front and rear tires are soft type with high grip. The front and rear wheels are molded in peppermint green, which was the image color of Altima designer Kogawa.
