Description

One of the special aircraft that came to Japan for the Japan-Australia joint training "Bushido Guardian 19"!

This plastic model assembly kit reproduces the F/A-18A, a fighter aircraft operated by the Royal Australian Air Force in 1/144 scale.

[About the actual aircraft.]

The F/A-18 Hornet is a ship-based fighter developed and operated by the U.S. Navy.

The initial F/A-18A/B were produced from 1979, and were deployed by the Marine Corps before the U.S. Navy from 1980.

It is equipped with two GE F404-GE-400 turbofan engines.

It boasted a maximum speed of Mach 1.7.

The aircraft was armed with a single M61A1 20mm Vulcan cannon as a fixed armament.

It was capable of operating various air-to-air, air-to-surface, and air-to-ship missiles.

It was deployed not only in the United States but also in other countries around the world.

The Royal Australian Air Force was one of them, and 55 single-seat F/A-18As and 16 double-seat F/A-18Bs were produced and operated for the Royal Australian Air Force.

[About the model.]

The model is a 1/144 scale plastic model assembly kit of the F/A-18 Hornet, the masterpiece ship-based fighter of the US Navy.

The model is a single-seat A-type among the F/A-18s.

The kit is set for two aircraft with parts made by Eftoys.

Markings reproduce the markings of the aircraft that came to Japan to participate in the Japan-Australia joint training "Bushido Guardian 19" held in Hokkaido in 2019.

The markings on the tail were a hit at the time of the visit to Japan, as the illustration on the tail resembled the Okinawan Shisa, and were a special commemorative marking applied to the aircraft of the Royal Australian Air Force's 77th Wing, 81st Wing, to mark the 77th anniversary of its founding in 2019. The markings on the inside of the tail wing were the unit's symbol, a stone lion.

The other marking is the usual marking of the aircraft that came to Japan together with the 77th.

The set includes two aircrafts, so please make them together.

Of course, the sharp fuselage shape of the Hornet is realistically modeled in a reasonable size of approximately 110mm in overall length.

The small number of parts makes it easy to assemble and enjoy.

This kit will expand the range of your Hornet collection.
