About the Car

The Honda S2000 is a Japanese sports roadster passenger car that was first presented to the public in 1999 at the Tokyo Motor Show. Its series production started in the same year and lasted until 2009 - about 112,000 copies of this model were produced during this period. Production was concentrated in the cities of Takanezawa and Suzuka in Japan.

The S2000 model did not have a direct predecessor in the Honda Motor Company offer and only referred to the S600 and S800 models from the 1960s in a distant way, and its production was related to the desire to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company. The new model was also to take up a market battle with cars such as Audi TT, BMW Z4 or Mazda MX-5. Two generations of this model were created during the production process. The first one was produced in the years 1999-2003, and the second - in the period 2004-2009. They differed from each other mainly in the design of the body, the use of different types of headlights and the degree of use of the material with carbon fiber.
